Computer Upgrade
Well, I bought a 30 inch Dell 3007WFP. It's has loads of room for my terms at the extreme res of 2560x1600. This required me to upgrade from my 6600 gt dual dvi Nvidia AGP to a 7900GS dual dvi PCI Express card. That posed the problem of having to upgrade my motherboard, which mean I had to upgrade my chip (amd 4400 64 x2) and subsequently my ram. Anyway, here we are and I decided to get a jump by upgrading to Gutsy. Cisco's VPN client was the only major thing broken do to changes in kernel api; spent another 30-45 minutes futzing with that and now we are golden. I highly recommend this panel if you are going large screen or if you need the resolution. Two 19's were nice, 30+ though at this resolution is much much better.

slef: Krang doesn't use PAR what it does is use m::b and throws everything into KRANG_ROOT's lib directory. Unless things have changed for Krang 3.0 which too my knowledge isn't the case. It seems this is the third or fourth time i've seen someone inquire about Krang's build system but it doesn't do anything special. The issue really should be handled higher up the food chain. The Perl project simply needs to come up with a good way to package their own programs. Past that, I haven't done it myself with a perl program but Autopackage may prove useful.
